Responsibilities
As a member of the Cloud Operations team, the Engineer will contribute to the stability, reliability, and security of controlled Global IT infrastructure through establishing and adhering to operational standards and best practices.
1. Provide support and troubleshooting of networked global enterprise systems.
2. Maintain the lifecycle of all networked global enterprise systems.
3. Vulnerability and patch management of networked global enterprise systems.
4. Work with End User Team providing escalation support when required.
5. Promote Security best practices and assist in compliance audit activities.
6. Assist in the delivery of infrastructure and IT service improvements.
7. Deliver operational standards, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications
1. Experience of Windows systems administration.
2. Experience of Active Directory/LDAP administration.
3. Experience working in a virtualized server environment (VMware Desirable).
4. Experience with server and infrastructure vulnerability patch management.
5. Experience of following Security and Compliance best practices.
6. Experience working in an organization that follows operational best practices (e.g. ITIL) including asset management, incident management and change control.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Effective time management, planning and organizational skills.
Desirable Skills
1. Exposure to Cloud Technologies (AWS Highly Desirable)
2. Exposure of storage management of SAN/NAS storage (HPE/IBM/NetApp desirable).
3. Exposure to Basic Linux systems administration.
4. Exposure of Basic Network Administration and troubleshooting (VPN, firewalls, switches)
5. Exposure to configuration management and automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible etc.).
6. Working with Scrum and Kanban style project methodology, ideally Jira.
7. Ability to conduct meetings and take minutes where required.
