You will work within the Council’s Greenspace team to coordinate the development and implementation of the Local Biodiversity Action Plan for the Falkirk Council area. You will lead on the Council’s delivery and reporting of its statutory duty to further the conservation of biodiversity and provide expert advice on biodiversity matters to internal stakeholders and to inform the determination of planning applications.
You will have a degree in ecology, environmental science, environmental management, botany, zoology or similar and previous experience of: environmental project management; developing environmental project funding partnerships; working in a community setting and developing policies and strategies relating to biodiversity.
With well-developed, IT, report writing, analytical, organisational and problem solving skills, you will have a demonstrable understanding of legislation as it affects biodiversity and nature networks.
