We are assisting with the recruitment of an experienced CNC Turner on behalf of a well-established precision engineering client located on the outskirts of Thetford. This full-time role offers a competitive salary, dependent on skills and experience.
Role Overview:
This is a varied and hands-on role suited to an experienced CNC Turner that ideally has experience of programming, setting, and operating a range of machinery to deliver consistently high standards. This position also involves working closely from technical drawings, handling a mixture of metal and plastic materials, and ensuring precision and quality through each phase of production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program, set, and run CNC turning equipment
2. Perform occasional manual machining as required, complementing CNC work for tailored project needs.
3. Work with both plastic and metal components, adjusting techniques as needed for different material specifications.
4. Accurately work from engineering drawings to ensure that all parts meet client specifications.
5. Manage individual projects from start to finish, working to tight tolerances and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
6. Work effectively as part of a skilled team while managing your workload independently, meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm
Friday: 8 am – 1 pm
