JOB TITLE: Research and Development Project Leader (Materials Science)
JOB TYPE: Full Time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm
JOB ROLE:
To take responsibility for Research and New Development projects, the project team and the effective delivery of Research & Development projects as dictated by the business, participate in the ideation and development of disruptive ideas and deliver Research & Development projects with extraordinary performance.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Undertake and manage Research & Development projects across the Micronclean business.
2. Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams.
3. Ensure effective and timely close-out of projects.
4. Be part of an environment which stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship.
5. Negotiate and interact with department Managers to ensure appropriate resources are available to the project.
6. Provide technical support, as appropriate, to individuals and teams across all Micronclean business activities.
7. Gain insights of customer requirements from attendance at exhibitions and customers.
8. Provide regular reports as required on Research & Development projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Background scientific training and/or experience in a field associated with natural sciences, with specific expertise in the field of materials science.
2. Project management skills and capabilities.
3. Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office products.
4. Full UK/EU driving licence.
Personal Attributes:
1. Personal drive and self-motivation.
2. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
3. Good planning and recording skills.
4. Fluent spoken and written English.
