An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmology Clinic Manager position at AlphaSiGHT in a permanent full-time job role. This post is suitable for an experienced manager with prior CQC registration and NHS experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business's needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields.
AlphaSiGHT Weston Lane is a brand new Ophthalmology clinic providing independent NHS services located in Southampton. As a CQC registered manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our clinic is fully compliant with all CQC regulations while keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
The Clinic Manager is jointly responsible with the Clinical Director for the effective strategic and operational management of the clinic. The post-holder with the Clinical Director will provide leadership and direction to the service. This includes playing a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical innovation and the delivery of all operational performance targets, waiting lists and financial management. Continually improving the quality of services to patients and redesigning services to meet best practice standards, improving efficiency and effectiveness and available resources.
What We Offer:
Competitive Salary: Salary: £44,435.00 - £52,045.00 per annum, depending on experience. (Part-time pro rata)
Your Role With Us:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations at AlphaSiGHT, which includes managing our multidisciplinary team of doctors, support staff, and other healthcare providers.
* You will be tasked with ensuring that the clinic is operating within all regulatory requirements and that all staff members are aligned with our clinic's values, culture, and mission.
* Be an integral part of a dynamic and evolving team, empowered to make key decisions.
* Ensure that the highest quality of care is consistently delivered in line with recognised standards.
* Lead on incident management, safeguarding alerts, referrals, and complaints to maintain our high standards.
* Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure all stock levels are adequately maintained.
* Oversee staff management and performance.
* Maintain regular liaison with the local CQC team and ICB and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
What We're Looking For:
* A leader capable of steering a new team towards achieving excellence across all fronts.
* Proficiency in data analysis using bespoke systems and Microsoft Office products at an intermediate level.
* Resilience in managing challenging conversations and complaints gracefully.
* A solid understanding of healthcare services legislation and employment law.
* Solid track record of working in healthcare management, preferably in ophthalmology clinics.
* Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with a deep level of knowledge and experience in CQC regulations.

Expectations:
Essential Experience:
* Management experience in the NHS with responsibility for operational matters, including staff management, budgetary responsibility and performance targets.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
* Management qualification, MBA or equivalent. or working towards
* Proven experience in service development
* Proven experience of change management ability
* Experience in leading projects.
* Previous CQC registration: a minimum of one year of experience as a clinic manager, preferably in an Ophthalmology setting. You must have knowledge and experience in ensuring that CQC regulations are met in all aspects of clinic operation.
