About us
Part of the Vale Federation of Schools, Stocklake Park Secondary School is a special school which caters for students who have moderate to severe learning difficulties. The school follows a primary model and is designed to meet individual educational needs and develop social and personal skills. We provide high quality education and care, with access to a range of therapies and multi-agency professionals supporting students’ needs.
Reporting to the Head of School, the successful applicant will take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated group of children, leading and managing additional adults within the classroom. You will work closely with colleagues to plan and deliver appropriate schemes of work that match the learning experiences offered with the individual needs of the child.
The role includes maintaining assessment records and reporting on pupils’ progress and attainment in accordance with school policy. You will liaise and work co-operatively with other professionals on site, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
About you
In order to carry out this role, you will enjoy working with students who have special educational needs and have a positive attitude to encourage independence in our students. You will have Qualified Teacher Status and be up to date with current developments in the curriculum, possessing an enthusiastic, caring, trustworthy, and resilient nature, along with a commitment to teamwork.
Flexibility and a commitment to training is expected. We welcome applications from both primary and secondary sectors, including Early Career Teachers wishing to work in special education.
