Environmental Advisor
We're looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our Severn Trent contract team based in the southern parts of Severn Trent's patch.
Location: West Midlands, Birmingham - remote working available, with travel to the office/sites as required
Hours: 45 hours per week – we can be flexible with the start/end times, just let us know!
What will you be responsible for?
As an Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the Severn Trent contract team, supporting them on the number of new projects that are associated with AMP8, ensuring that we deliver environmental excellence on the project sites due to the extra scrunity by the water industry regulators. This role will also require you to support and uphold the sustainability strategy that is being delivered by the business division of Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks.
Your day to day will include:
* Act as the first point of contact for project and design teams concerning environmental management coverage.
* Assisting/ lead the development of the project Environmental Management System
* Identify and support project teams to obtain and comply with regulatory and client requirement
* Identify, develop and facilitate environmental training
* Conduct environmental audits and site inspections and support third-party audits.
What are we looking for?
This role of an Environmental Advisor, is great for you if:
* Experience of stakeholder management, including but exhaustive of client and statutory bodies;
* Clean, current UK driving licence.
* Demonstrable experience in environmental management and sustainability on construction projects
* Demonstrable experience in assessing environmental aspects and impacts, developing mitigation proposals and implementing environmental management procedures to avoid or reduce environmental effects;
* Good knowledge and practical experience of implementing and improving EMS's certified to BS EN ISO 14001.
