About the Role: PIPS are developing a brand new service in Colburn, consisting of 6 individual bungalows to support individuals in moving into their own homes. The service is currently being built, and we are recruiting to support packages to commence transitions. Initially, you might work with individuals in their current settings to get to know them prior to their move. Working with PIPS allows you to be part of a team delivering great support and improving people’s quality of life.
Our Impact: PIPS have created amazing stories by helping individuals live fulfilling lives in their communities, often for the first time in their own homes.
Our Values: We seek people with the right values, focusing on building on individuals’ strengths, promoting choice and independence, and recognizing that we are all equal with the same rights, needs, and dreams.
Responsibilities: As a Support Worker, your role will involve supporting people to live active lives in the community, managing their daily living skills, facilitating their hobbies and interests, and helping individuals realize their dreams. We provide person-centered individualized care with a focus on the model of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS). You will directly provide support to individuals, help develop their skills, build their homes, and be part of their community, ultimately improving their quality of life.
What We Offer: PIPS offers a competitive salary and benefits scheme, including a welcome payment and a travel allowance to support your travel to work. You will receive a 2-week induction covering PBS, communication, behavior, skill teaching, and enabling individuals to live the lifestyle they wish. A workplace induction follows, allowing you to learn how to support individuals in their preferred ways. We have a leadership pathway for those with the right ambition, skills, and aptitude, which can take you from Support Worker to Team Leader and beyond. We also have access to a staff benefits scheme and operate a team reward program, as we are committed to our team’s wellbeing.
Requirements: All applicants must have a permanent right to work in the UK. For operational reasons, the company does not accept applicants with a temporary right to work.
