As an Occupational Therapist (maternity leave cover - 12 month fixed term contract), join the supportive team at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes – a medium and low secure and locked services providing specialist treatment programmes for service users who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour - where you will help vulnerable people to develop new skills and build a brighter future.\n\nYou will be working alongside the Occupational Therapy team as maternity cover. You will have experience in managing a designated caseload and will be responsible for completing assessments, planning therapeutic sessions, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to service users care plans. \n\nWith a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.\n \nThis role involves:\n\nFacilitating a flexible programme of OT groups and individual interventions.\n\nPlanning and implementing interventions and therapeutic activities\n\nEvaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.\n\nSupervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.\n\n \nTo be successful in this role:\n\nCurrent HCPC registration and full RCOT membership with evidence of Continuing Professional Development.\n\nKnowledge and use of a range of OT assessments and outcome measures.\n\nExperience of working within a similar setting.\n\nBSc (Hons) or equivalent occupational therapy qualification\n\nMinimum of 1 years post qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist\n\n \n\nWhere you will be working: \n\nChadwick Drive (off Saxon Street), Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK6 5LS\n\nYou will be working at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, a medium and low secure and locked services providing specialist treatment programmes for service users who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour.\n\nThe service offer a broad spectrum of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, involving service users at every stage. The hospital’s consultant-led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry.
