Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced professional to join our Safeguarding Children Team at West London NHS Trust as a Named Doctor Safeguarding Children and Young People.
The post holder will work with the Named Nurse Safeguarding Children and Young People to lead the strategic delivery of the safeguarding children's agenda across the trust supported by the safeguarding advisers and other specialist resources within the team.
You will work within the Safeguarding Children team and be part of the overall Trust Wide Safeguarding Team.

To provide strategic leadership in delivering the safeguarding agenda to ensure that the Trust meets its responsibilities to safeguard/protect children and young people.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
* Registered on Specialist Register or within 3 months of Registration
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
* GMC Specialist Register or within six months
* Additional qualification – postgraduate degree relevant to profession or safeguarding
Experience
* Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training
Knowledge
* Wide range of specialist and subspecialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
* Excellent clinical skills in child and adolescent psychiatry
Skills
* Ability to work in and lead a team
