Your new role As the Head of Capital Delivery, you will be responsible for the full delivery team, which is split between the Education Delivery Team and the Property Delivery Team. The Commercial Investment and Capital directorate has implemented a restructure which has also introduced a new method of delivery for the department. The Head of Capital Delivery will support the 'Intelligent Client' model, ensuring the council act solely in a client capacity, working with external consultants and contractors to ensure they deliver inline with any and all budgets, standards of work and deadlines. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and will provide detailed programmes and oversight on all capital projects and budgets. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have a strong background of Project Management within a Public Sector Capital Delivery team. In your previous roles, you would have had plenty of internal and external stakeholder engagement and would have provided detailed reporting along with clear management of the capital spend. You must have line management experience and be familiar with council process and procedures. You must be registered with CIOB, MRICS or CIBSE.
