Our client, operating within the rail sector, is currently seeking Cost/Senior Cost Manager to join their team. This permanent role involves working on an array of high-profile infrastructure projects, including initiatives with Network Rail, TFL, HS2, and airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick.
Key Responsibilities:
Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
Proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications are made.
Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
Managing contract changes effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practices.
Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
Job Requirements:
Experience in cost management within the rail sector.
Strong understanding of PMO principles and practices.
Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
Chartered or working towards chartered status, or the right attitude to learn and develop.
Client-facing skills with the ability to work both in client offices and the company's offices.
Knowledge of Contract Management, preferably NEC3 Option C.
