Our Youth Service Team is looking to employ a Corporate Trainee based at Butetown Pavilion, Dumballs Road, Butetown, Cardiff CF10 5FE. Cardiff Youth Service consists of a talented and enthusiastic team of professional youth workers who operate a range of provisions across the city for young people aged 11-25.
About the job
In this Corporate Trainee role you will support our service and will learn to:
1. Engage and support young people.
2. Assist with event, project & workshop planning, delivery, and evaluation.
3. Collate data such as membership, attendance, and participation.
4. Carry out IT based tasks and create documents using a variety of software.
As part of a team responsible for supporting young people to develop holistically, you will work face-to-face with young people to facilitate their personal, social, and educational development, enabling them to develop their voice, influence, and place in society.
Full training will be provided by our Team, who will help and encourage you to develop in the role. You will receive supervision and on-the-job training and will have a named mentor to support you in delivering an efficient and effective service.
The Corporate Apprentice & Trainee Scheme provides opportunities to enhance your transferable skills to help support your career progression.
Many of our teams have moved to online and homeworking and you will be encouraged to develop the skills to support this. Where homeworking is required, you will be given the necessary equipment; however, you will need to arrange your own internet connectivity (some support may be available).
The post holder will be expected to work unsociable hours including evenings and some weekends.

This post is temporary for 12 months, part-time at 18.5 hours per week. This post is not suitable for post share and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
