We are delighted to be working exclusively with our client based in Northampton, who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide additional support within their finance team.
This is a 4-6 month fixed-term contract, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has experience within a finance department, and thrives as part of a small, friendly team. Easily accessible by public transport.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with all aspects of sales and purchase ledger, including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and handling queries.
* Assisting with bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
* Supporting the preparation of data files, ensuring accurate data is provided for processing.
* Assisting with credit control, chasing outstanding payments where necessary.
* Providing general finance and administrative support, including maintaining accurate records and assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as needed.
The Candidate:
You will have previous experience working in an accounting role, with a strong understanding of sales and purchase ledger processes. A keen eye for detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently are essential.
