The Role:
The Klinsmann Partnership is looking to appoint a Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our growing warehouse team.
Reporting to the Warehouse Managers and working closely with the wider warehouse team, your day-to-day role will be a combination of administrative, managerial, and hands-on work with your colleagues.
No two days will be the same in this role, as your expectations could change rapidly depending on business needs and staff availability. It is important that you are reliable and flexible to handle any tasks or problems in the warehouse that may arise.
This is a new role, and the exact scope of responsibilities may change depending on your strengths and what you can bring to the table by way of experience and skill set.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assist the Warehouse Managers with daily warehouse operations, including processing inbound deliveries and managing outbound orders.
2. Generate packing lists and prepare orders for online retail and wholesale distribution, ensuring timely dispatch.
3. Learn and operate internal inventory and order management systems to support seamless workflow.
4. Coordinate with the Managers to manage stock levels and anticipate warehouse material requirements.
5. Develop familiarity with logistics and transport suppliers to assist in selecting cost-efficient shipping options.
6. Perform basic inventory checks, stock counts, and help maintain organized, accessible storage areas.
7. Serve as a deputy in the event of one of the Managers being absent, taking responsibility for their core tasks to ensure uninterrupted warehouse operations.
We are looking for candidates with experience/attributes in the following areas:
1. Ideally at least 1 year’s experience in a warehouse-based role, or a similar level role in a relatable field (e.g., security, maintenance, retail, construction, or facilities management).
2. You will most likely be a high school graduate (GCSEs and/or A-levels), with any additional certification in warehouse operations/logistics being a distinct advantage.
3. Experience/knowledge of how E-Commerce and/or distribution environments operate would be highly advantageous.
You will need the following skills to succeed in this role:
1. Basic proficiency with inventory or warehouse management systems (training will be provided).
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for inventory tracking.
3. Strong attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in order processing and inventory tracking.
4. Good organizational skills to support efficient warehouse operations.
5. Proactive and positive attitude towards learning to quickly get up to speed with warehouse processes and systems.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
Benefits:
1. Working hours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday – no weekends ordinarily speaking! Although very occasional weekend and bank holiday working may be required, these are rare.
2. 25 days’ holiday allowance per year (in addition to bank holidays).
3. Uniform (PPE, etc.) will be provided.
4. Diverse, international workforce.
5. Fun social events outside of work.
6. We are very open to new ideas, so please feel free to suggest/request anything that we can do to help you perform at your maximum, and we will certainly do our best to implement it if it makes sense for everyone.
