SEN Teaching Assistant
Support a year 6 child with ASD & challenging behaviour in a 1:1 setting.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide individualized support to the child
* Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour
* Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure the child's needs are met
* Maintain accurate records of the child's progress
* Work closely with the child's parents to ensure a consistent approach
* Be patient, compassionate and understanding in your approach
* Have a good understanding of ASD and its effects on children
* Be able to work effectively in a team
* Be able to maintain confidentiality
* Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with ASD
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
