I'm supporting a client that is a global banking group looking to hire a senior Lawyer with extensive knowledge of UK prudential regulations.
This is the same role we had last year and thought we had someone lined up but it fell through.
This will work alongside another very experienced lawyer with a huge amount of knowledge of the area and report to an MD who was previously a partner with a magic circle firm.
The role will play a crucial role in all areas of prudential regulation including:
* All areas of prudential reporting & disclosures
* Regulatory capital & liquidity rules
* Supporting on operational continuity & resilience
* Advising on recovery, resolution & resolvability
The first two are probably the key more so than the second but exposure to all would be useful
They need someone who really knows their way round this space and there are 2 obvious avenues:
1. A regulatory Lawyer who has expert level knowledge of prudential regs
2. A DCM lawyer who can show a very strong understanding of the prudential landscape
They are open to considering people from in house or direct out of private practice.
Due to the nature pf the role they really can't look at solely transferable skills.
There is both a general advisory and a transactional element to the role.
This team is right at the centre of what is happening in the bank and this role will see you work closely with some of the most senior stakeholders including the Group GC.
This is going to be a phenomenally exciting role for the right person so please get in touch ASAP if you'd like to discuss or submit your CV for consideration
