A rare and exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Deputy Manager at VECAS, UHL. We work as a multidisciplinary team and aim to provide rapid-access assessment for people who are at risk of deteriorating, or who are deteriorating at home or in residential care and for whom early multidisciplinary input is likely to avert hospital admission. The post holder will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the unit, and will act as clinical expert to ensure the promotion and delivery of high standards of patient care. Acting up in the absence of the Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse and working flexibly across ECAS and other clinic areas. The post holder will be an influential role model for the rest of the team, supporting the ward manager and being involved in Audit, risk assessment, Quality improvement and service development, Values Based Appraisals, staff induction and training and incident investigations. The post holder will ensure open lines of communication with all stake holders and the team in order to ensure patients receive timely and effective care in the right environment. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
