Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, determined and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Respiratory Team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
You will be actively encouraged to participate in CPD, research, and service development projects. You will also mentor and contribute to learning and development of junior staff and students.
You should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make acute clinical and discharge-based decisions effectively.
You will be supported by experienced lead physiotherapists to refine your respiratory and leadership skills on all our acute units.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job

You will also be part of a mandatory Respiratory On-call evening/overnight and weekend rota.
The post holder will provide specialist advice, assessment and treatments to a range of Respiratory and other acute conditions. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
The post holder will have an opportunity to develop their clinical and leadership skills.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy & HCPC Registration
* Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio related to the role.
* Evidence of attendance on appropriate courses to enhance Specialist knowledge and skills
* Recent completion of validated Clinical Educator's course
Experience
* Comprehensive Band 5 rotations related to the role
* Evidence of working within a multi-disciplinary team in the specialist area
* Evidence of working at Band 6 level
Knowledge
* Knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards (local and national)
* NICE guidelines relevant to area of work
