Elixir Distillers Ltd (EDL)
EDL is a brand development and creation company with a key focus on whisky and rum; dedicated to crafting exceptional products with a rich heritage and delicious liquid. We currently have five key brands - Black Tot Rum, Elements of Islay, Port Askaig, The Single Malts of Scotland and Highland Nectar - all growing exceptionally well and distributed in over 30 markets around the world.
EDL are building a new distillery on the island of Islay, called Port-n-truan Distillery, and acquired one of the most iconic distilleries in Speyside; Tomore Distillery.

Job Description
The purpose of the role is to efficiently process and organise all aspects of the administration and logistics around the creation of products for Elixir Group from start to finish. It will involve processing purchase orders through an ERP system, organising transport and logistics around spirit, wood and goods movement and feeding in information for reporting to HMRC for our warehousing sites, under bond movements of dutiable goods liaising with Finance for duty payments.
Due to business requirements, it is expected that the role holder will need to have a high degree of flexibility in order to meet the demands of the role. Therefore, it may be necessary to work out of normal working hours due to the nature of the projects to meet the demands of our client base. The role holder must be able to adjust to a broad and fluid set of tasks as requirements change in this progressive organisation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Fulfilling all ERP administration and logistics needs across the businesses, including:
· Communicating with customers, suppliers, internal and 3rd party warehouses/bottlers within the UK and around the world with regards to shipments of spirit, casks and goods.
· Working with a range of credible hauliers for the movement of spirit, casks and dry goods to specific locations.
· Support with item creation, maintenance and adjusting, on the ERP system, as required.
· Raising and managing transfer orders between warehouses on the ERP system and creating pick lists.
· Removals, receipting and transfers of all spirit, casks and goods through the ERP system.
· Removals and receipting of all spirit and casks into Elixir Distillers warehouses through the EMCS.
· Support with the administration filling plans, including updating the ERP system for wood deliveries, bulk to casks transfers and warehouse allocations for new make spirit at internal and 3rd party warehouses.
· Processing the sale of bulk spirit to 3rd party through the ERP system and coordinating necessary movements.
· Providing relevant information to the Supply Chain Manager for the management of rents, W1 reporting and W5 payments.
· Organising and maintaining the sample libraries at all warehouses.
· The role may involve moving, lifting, bending and carrying of stock.
Key skills and Knowledge
· Experience of logistics planning, HMRC compliance, Incoterms and a solid understanding of movement of goods internationally.
· Understanding of customs rules and regulations.
· Excellent spirits (specifically whisky) knowledge.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines as necessary.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office suite; particularly Excel ERP & EMCS systems).
