As Financial Accountant, you will:
* Month-End Financial Reporting - Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate postings, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
* Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Reconciliations - Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
* Budgeting & Forecasting Support - Contribute to the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes to ensure accurate balance sheet and cash flow management.
* Statutory Compliance & Audit Preparation - Assist in preparing statutory accounts and supporting documentation, engaging with external auditors to meet compliance deadlines.
* Tax & Treasury Management - Support VAT and tax administration, including preparing quarterly VAT returns and liaising with HMRC to ensure compliance.
* Financial Process & Data Improvement - Enhance financial reporting and data accuracy by refining data structures and improving internal financial processes.
Minimum Requirements:
* Accounting Qualification - Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or AAT qualified.
* Financial Reporting & Reconciliation Expertise - Experience in month-end and year-end financial processes, including general ledger management and double-entry bookkeeping.
* Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge - Understanding of internal financial controls, statutory reporting, VAT administration, and treasury management.
* Forecasting - Ability to support financial planning, ensuring accurate financial projections and resource allocation.
* Audit & Stakeholder Engagement - Experience collaborating with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
* Process Improvement & Data Integrity - Strong analytical skills to enhance financial accuracy, streamline reporting processes, and support organisational efficiency.
