Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in driving store performance, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and achieving sales targets
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates
* Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained throughout the store
* Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising
* Analyse sales data and implement strategies to improve store performance
* Handle cash management and financial procedures accurately
* Resolve customer complaints and address staff concerns promptly
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment
* Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
* Cover for the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the store
Qualifications:
* Proven experience of 2-3 years in retail management, preferably as an assistant manager or supervisor
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
* Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences
* Proficiency in inventory management and visual merchandising techniques
* Solid understanding of sales analysis and profit-driving strategies
* Experience in cash handling and financial procedures
* Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and problem-solving
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a retail environment
* Understanding of loss prevention techniques
* A-levels or equivalent (preferred)
* Retail management certification (preferred)
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
