What we are looking for: We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Teaching Assistant - Level 1 to join our supportive and talented team at Redstart Primary. We are part of a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our pupils’ learning. The Redstart Primary School is a two-form entry primary academy, located in Chard, Somerset, taking children from Nursery to Year 6. We aim to develop a love of learning in our children to last through their lives. We believe passionately in our children having the highest aspirations and are committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum with exciting opportunities including access to a rich programme of after school activities. We want to enable all our children to realise their full potential, their talents and their interests in all areas. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant - Level 1, to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of designated students under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Principal, SENCo and Assistant Principal). Support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. Takes responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being. Works collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role.
