Job Summary:
The Toolmaker is responsible for maintaining and repairing injection mould tools to ensure they are fit for purpose. Provide machine shop support for site engineering and production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The Toolmaker must repair and service moulds, jigs, fixtures, and extruder parts to meet production standards.
2. Manufacture spare parts from drawings or by measuring existing parts.
3. Polish parts and moulds to meet the company's quality standards.
4. Inspect and ensure compatibility of externally manufactured components.
5. Maintain sub-contracted moulds and ensure all equipment is safe and reliable.
6. The Toolmaker must perform and record periodic PPM checks.
7. Train other technicians and attend relevant training courses.
8. Adhere to safety practices and report potential issues.
9. Minimize material wastage and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
10. The Toolmaker must comply with ISO 9000 quality standards and company health and safety policies.
11. Support 5S activities and lean manufacturing initiatives.
12. Work responsibly, flexibly, and as part of a cross-functional team.
13. Fulfill any reasonable requests to achieve job objectives.
