Job Summary
Working as part of the MB Air Systems sales team, you will have the responsibility of managing and expanding our already well-established customer base. Your main role will be to generate the maximum amount of profitable sales of Ingersoll Rand products through the achievement of sales targets and by making new and existing customers aware of the company's portfolio of products.
Responsibilities
* Generate sales to achieve maximum profitability against annual sales targets.
* Identify and exploit new sales opportunities with existing and potential customers together with actively following up quotations to close the sale.
* Have a clear focus on the MB Air Systems installed base to exploit opportunities: upgrade equipment, promote CARE packages and exploit competitor compressor and downstream replacement opportunities across industries.
* Monitor and manage customer accounts within the allocated sales area to ensure that sales potential is maximised.
* Develop our already existing relationships within Key Accounts along with industrial customers and Contracting companies.
* Implement, promote and contribute to the further development of the company’s sales strategy with particular focus on the geographical area of responsibility.
* Ensure safe working practices are maintained at the depot and promote a culture of safety.
* Participate in MB or Ingersoll Rand group initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
* Proven sales experience in industrial type sales.
* Ability to communicate technical/industry specific information in an easy-to-understand format.
* Excellent product/service knowledge.
* Ability to provide outstanding customer service both at point of sales and aftersales support.
* Ability to manage their own schedule and make customer appointments.
* Applicants must possess a clean UK Driving Licence.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Based within MB Air Systems Head Office in Lanarkshire, the successful applicant will cover an allocated Sales Territory within Central Scotland.
