Advanced Clinical Practice in Autism Spectrum Disorder
Are you a Senior Allied Health Care Professional or Registered Children’s Nurse with substantial knowledge and experience in assessing and treating children & young people on the Autism Spectrum Disorder? Are you looking for the next step in your career? If so, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust are looking to appoint a forward-thinking, proactive and innovative practitioner, who would make a significant difference working within the under-five’s autism pathway.
Main Duties of the Job
You will:
* Have extensive clinical experience within ASD.
* Have advanced skills in the assessment of ASD, including ADOS.
* Evidence within the four pillars of advanced practice.
* Experience of quality improvement.
* Experience of providing leadership and supervision to other professionals.
* Be able to manage caseloads and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met.
* Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
* Be a strong reflective practitioner and aware of and work within competency level.

Qualifications
* Registered with relevant professional body - e.g. NMC/HCPC
* Masters Degree in Advanced Practice
* Portfolio of evidence
* Independent non-medical prescribing, if from a core profession in which NMP is supported or when relevant to the role.
* ILS/ALS/APLS/ATLS (delete as appropriate)
Skills & Experience
* Extensive clinical experience
* Excellent clinical and practical skills
* Evidence of practice within the four pillars of Advanced Practice.
* Evidence of continuous professional development and the practical application of new skills to the workplace
* Direct supervision of junior staff
* Experience of carrying out complex language assessments with a range of age groups
* Experience of working within specialty
