The Director of Patient and Family Services (DPFS) is accountable for the delivery of high quality, responsive Palliative and End of Life Care across all of the Ayrshire Hospice Clinical services. Working with all our clinical teams, this role will ensure teams work as one seamlessly to provide an excellent service for patients and their families, putting them at the heart of decision making. We are proud to strive to be person-led in all we do.
You will have a detailed understanding of palliative and end of life care, regulation and government policy, as well as the ability to think strategically. You will possess highly developed communication and inter-personal skills, including a thorough understanding of good governance and a proven track record evidencing this governance. You will be a strong negotiator and patient advocate, influencing senior colleagues and understanding the importance of collaboration.
We need someone who can inspire teams, coach and mentor, and write compelling text, all through a combination of personal credibility, integrity, and professionalism. You will also have the ability to work constructively and cohesively across an organisation, building strong relationships of mutual respect. Flexibility is essential, as is a commitment to making a difference. We are seeking someone who is not afraid to challenge the norm and who takes their team with them to maintain excellence in care.
