This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work on a permanent basis within one of our Extra care schemes as a Care & support worker.
This permanent role is for 21.875 hours per week and involves a rota system which will involve working a combination of early (starting at 7:30 am) and late shifts (finishes at 9:30pm). You will also be working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid. One of the council’s strategic objectives is to ensure we deliver excellent quality care services. To support this objective and provide assistance to individuals living within their own home environment we are seeking to appoint a compassionate, caring and reliable support worker.
Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The post is part-time and will involve a rota system. Enhancement is paid for weekend and out of hours working. This role is offered on a permanent basis. We also encourage staff to join our bank team.
Hawthorn Court provides Extra Care Housing for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme.

Hawthorn Court offers a vibrant community atmosphere, located in Keynsham, which is easily accessible via public transport or car. It is a short walk from the high street in Keynsham.
