Band 3 People Services Assistant (ESR)
Permanent, 37.5 hour per week
People Services has an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to work within the ESR (Electronic Staff Record) Team.
The People Services directorate provides advice and transactional services to employees and managers across the organisation. If you would like to work in a customer friendly, quality focused service, within a collaborative and supportive team, this may be the job for you.
This role will initially be based in the ESR Team, however as and when required, the role holder may be required to work across Transactional Services Teams (Recruitment, Reporting, Roster, Temporary Staffing).
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking administration assistant to perform basic systems administration and offer advice and support our employees and managers. Our team is friendly, supportive and receives great feedback from our customers.
You will be a team player, positively promoting co-operation and contributing to ongoing service improvements and system/functionality rollouts. This role requires excellent organisation, communication and customer service skills.
This role requires the use of web based systems, including ESR (Electronic Staff Record) and Microsoft Office applications. Full training on our systems will be provided to the successful candidate.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Level 3 NVQ Business Administration or equivalent qualification or experience.
Knowledge
* Experience of data input into information systems
* Experience of producing statistical reports
* Good knowledge of MS Office Suite.
* Knowledge of ESR
* Knowledge of People related systems
* Able to prioritise workload effectively and work to tight deadlines.
* Able to build and maintain effective relationships and work across a wide range of contacts
* IT literate – MS Office package
