Here at Serco, we are looking for a Microsoft 365 Developer who will participate in all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle, which includes user story refinement, design, build, test, implementation, documentation, deployment and support for M365 solutions and services provided to our customers. You will also liaise with key business stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the customer.
In this key role, you will apply your knowledge and technical expertise to the delivery of M365 solutions in a fast-paced environment, where the rate of change and requirement for new solutions is expected to be high. You will adopt and support a team-based approach, proactively sharing ideas and expertise and supporting others within the team.
As part of this you’ll:
1. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
2. Participate in team meetings, project meetings, customer meetings and departmental or corporate meetings and sessions.
3. Take part in team initiatives to improve the internal processes, capability and service offering.
4. Contribute to and deliver continuous improvement of service delivery for implemented M365 solutions.
5. Provide direct technical support to users of M365 services and solutions making use of ITSM toolsets and liaising with other service management and technical teams within an ITIL framework.
6. Evaluate user requests for M365 solutions to determine feasibility and technical requirements.
7. Design, specify, build, test and implement new or changed M365 Solutions using Agile principles.
8. Adhere to and deliver against agreed ITS SIAM processes for incident, problem and change management.
What you’ll need to do the role:
1. High-level of knowledge around the M365 suite of applications.
2. Good understanding of the Microsoft Azure platform.
3. Demonstrable and proven expertise with the architecture, design, development, and administration of M365 solutions.
4. Experience of undertaking SharePoint Online/M365 BAU activities.
5. Excellent client-facing experience and communication skills.
6. Experience of deploying solutions between environments.
7. General understanding of a Microsoft 365 Multi-Geo environment.
8. Experience of creating Power BI reports/dashboards/workspaces would be advantageous (not essential).
9. Use of Azure DevOps Pipelines (not essential).
10. From time to time, you may be expected to work outside of normal business hours to support and deliver the implementation of software.
