We are seeking a dedicated and professional Management Accountant to join our client's team in a growing industry. Based in Leeds, this role focuses on the preparation of month-end management accounts, accruals and prepayments, and reporting on financial performance. Reviewing and reconciling financial and operational data and providing support to business stakeholders.

Description
1. Preparation of month-end schedules, accruals, prepayments, and reconciling balance sheet figures.
2. Primary responsibility for key financial cost lines, including Payroll, IT, Utility, and other costs.
3. Increasing business partnering across the functions, providing support and leading the financials for the Central teams responsible for various cost areas.
4. Regular liaising with the wider business to support understanding of regular results.
5. Assistance with year-end audit process.
6. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and regular reforecasting.
7. Assisting the commercial finance team with cash flow figures.
8. Regular collaboration with the payroll team as part of the month-end processes.
9. Monthly review of results and commentary on variances.
10. Involvement in other ad hoc areas as requested.
11. Other reasonable duties or attendance at meetings as required.
Profile
A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:
1. Full accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with proven experience delivering monthly accounting.
2. Passionate and understands how the accounting function can best serve wider business needs.
3. A high achiever who is looking to be part of an energetic, fast-growing business.
4. Adaptive to significant changes within the business.
5. Someone who is happy to be hands-on and work on their own initiative but also be able to work together as a team to meet key deadlines such as the month-end accounts.
6. Can build strong working relationships and networks to enable success - across and outside of the business.
7. Challenges status quo, always seeking ways to improve processes to increase efficiency and add value.
8. Strong attention to detail, and proven ability to work to deadlines through effective time management.
9. Excellent Excel skills.
10. Experience of working with Sage 200 would be an advantage, but not essential.
