Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to work within the defence sector.
Location: Hybrid working - Aldermaston
About the role: You will be responsible for completing all buying activities, including complex orders, ensuring that demands are understood and met, and issues are dealt with promptly.
Essential Skills: The ideal candidates will hold Active SC clearance and have a proven Assistant Buying background, with the following skills/experience:
* Experience and knowledge to review requisitions, place purchase orders in line with the correct route to market and expedite orders to meet business needs.
* Experience in delivering cost savings.
* Experience of supporting the Procurement process for RFI, RFP, E-procurement, negotiation and vendor management in relevant categories.
* Knowledge of procurement categories and public sector procurement processes such as OJEU or PCR 2015.
* Experience of building robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate order placement and on time delivery in line with the business needs.
