Our client is looking to recruit a skilled Crane Operator for a significant project in West London. If you have extensive experience in crane operations and are seeking a new challenge, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Crane Operation: Safely and efficiently operate various types of cranes to lift, move, position and reposition loads.
* Safety Management: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure safe lifting operations and prevent accidents.
* Load Management: Assess loads and determine the most appropriate rigging equipment to use.
* Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of cranes to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
* Communication: Work closely with the site team, including Slingers and Signallers, to execute lifting operations smoothly.
* Liaison: Communicate with the Yard Manager daily to determine workloads for the day.
* Reporting: Inform management immediately of any defects that may render any equipment unsafe or unroadworthy.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during lifting operations promptly and effectively.
* Loading and Unloading: Load and unload vehicles and vessels.
* Material Monitoring: Monitor materials and report any unacceptable material items.
* Material Handling: Reform material piles to ensure the most effective grab volume.
* Work Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
* Experience: Proven experience as a Crane Operator with a strong understanding of various crane types and their operations.
* Certification: A valid CPCS Card for crane operation is essential. Additional relevant certifications are highly desirable.
* Crane Operation: Experience operating a Crane Material Re-Handler in a safe, competent manner.
* Additional Equipment: Experience operating various other plant and machinery is beneficial.
* Skill Set: Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with load charts, lifting capacities and the principles of crane operation.
* Locality: Ideally, candidates should be based in or around West London.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 18:00.
