An exciting interim opportunity has arisen in our expanding Procurement team at HCRG Care Group!
We're looking for a skilled IT Procurement Manager to join us on an 8-month fixed term basis (until July 2025) to help migrate and manage IT spend across both our existing and new business as part of our recent growth in service delivery. Starting in April 2025, HCRG Care Group will take on three large service contracts, increasing our client offering, staff base, supplier base, and spending footprint. This role is essential to ensure that economies of scale are realised and that systems are integrated smoothly, avoiding duplication or conflicts.
As part of this role, you will work closely with both Procurement and IT departments, managing the migration or cancellation of incoming IT contracts from existing service providers, expanding existing licenses and hardware requirements, and using procurement leverage to achieve the best long-term product and pricing mix.
This hybrid position allows for 90% remote work, with occasional travel to our head office in Runcorn or service areas in Leicestershire, Bath & North East Somerset, and Surrey, as needed. You will report directly to the Head of Procurement, with a dotted line to the Head of IT Operations.
Main duties of the job
Estimated Plans for the role, subject to change;
* Month 1: Assess systems and licenses from exiting providers, evaluate contracts, and understand stakeholder needs.
* Months 2-4: Coordinate with IT and project teams to safely transfer required licenses and legacy hardware/software, including DHSE-compliant systems for occupational health.
* Months 2-5: Expand existing contracts and supply chains, supporting a 60-70% workforce increase.
* Months 2-5: Review SaaS contracts, ensuring legal and stakeholder approvals.
* Months 2-5: Collaborate with IG and IS teams on data security and cybersecurity.
* Months 2-8: Manage vendor relationships and support supplier management.
* Months 2-8: Ensure new suppliers meet contractual, data protection, and ethical standards.
* Months 5-8: Contribute to related Procurement and accounts projects.
* Months 7-8: Develop an IT category plan, finalise the license database, and report total savings achieved.
