Connect Appointments have a new permanent opportunity for a Vehicle Service Technician (with a Class 1 license) to join our Kirkcaldy based vehicle repair and maintenance client. Responsibilities Working as a Vehicle Service Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work, on a modern fleet of vehicles. As such, you will also be responsible for: Completing inspections and identifying problems and raising these with the Workshop Manager Conducting maintenance and repairs Completing any relevant paperwork and maintaining records of all work carried out Following all company policies and procedures, particularly related to health and safety Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment Skills To be successful in this role you will have a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, such as changing oil. Plus, the following skills, traits and experience: A valid Class 1 license The ability to work on your own and as part of a team Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills Great attention to detail Basic computer skills Proven experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role You will benefit from a competitive salary with a range of benefits including overtime, enhanced rates, and more. Weekend on call payments of 80 (with double time for all hours worked with a guaranteed minimum of 2 hours paid).
