We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our site management team supporting clinical staff in the booking and organising Patient Hospital Transport. This is an opportunity to work with teams across the Trust and partner organisations in the wider health care economy.
As the successful candidate you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should have knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and associated software packages. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and to prioritise your workload. You must be willing to learn, with the support of your manager and colleagues, and to undertake training and development.
Hours of work: Shifts of 08:00 -- 18:00 and 10:00 -- 18:00
Main duties will be to provide a high quality, efficient and complete administrative and customer care service within the site management team to include the organising and booking of transport for inpatient and outpatient attendances. An opportunity to work from home, once full training has been completed.
Main duties of the job
1. Liaise with hospital staff, communication centres, transport offices to ensure patients are conveyed in the most effective and efficient manner, and the service level agreements are always maintained.
2. Planning of transport for future dates, rearranging when necessary.
3. Entering booking details into the computer system.
4. Assist in monitoring the service level agreement and liaise with the Line Manager in providing a focused and reliable patient transport liaison service.
5. Responsible for prioritisation between urgent requests and routine requests.
6. Manage and plan own workload.
7. Work within the limits of own competence and responsibility and refer issues beyond these limits to relevant people.
8. Maintain the Transport booking system with up-to-date information, as and when received by either service providers or CCGs.

Qualifications
* GCSE to include English and maths
* NVQ II in Administration or Customer Service or equivalent qualification or experience
* European Computer Driving License (ECDL) or equivalent qualification or experience
Experience
* Previous experience of using Microsoft Office Applications
* Previous experience of working in a customer facing role
* The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
* The ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage
* The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality administrative support
* Able to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of the department daily
