It is an exciting time at Sense as we are now recruiting Support Workers to join our friendly, caring, welcoming, well-established teams at our Kingstanding residential service.
Roles are permanent, working full time for 37.5 hours per week.
Our home consists of 5 bedrooms and the individuals we support have a range of complex needs, including sensory loses/impairments, learning disabilities and/or mobility impairments. At Sense you can be assured of a robust induction as well as on going support in your role.
As a Support Worker, you will support the people with a range of activities and wellbeing events. Some of the activities they take part in are attending our resource centre TouchBase Pears, adapted cycling, swimming, bowling, ice skating, rock climbing, sailing and wheelie boat sessions, meals out, pub visits, weekly rambles visiting local parks and also visit places of natural beauty. The staff team arrange day trips and also support on holidays in the UK and abroad.
A full manual UK license is required as we have manual company vehicles used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips. The shifts vary throughout the week and the shift pattern at this service are as follows: 7am-2.30pm, 2pm-9.30pm and sleep-in shift is from 9:15pm-7:15am.
