Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per year
Location: Premium Food Processing Site
Type: Full Time / Permanent
Hours / Shift Pattern:
Standard work hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required for maintenance needs.
Please note: This position is open only to individuals with UK citizenship or those with indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
Overview
Everest People Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Planner to join our client’s premium food processing site. This role is perfect for a proactive and highly organised individual with a background in engineering within the food or industrial sectors. You will play a critical role in overseeing the planning and control of engineering activities, ensuring effective resource allocation and maintaining optimal asset conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute weekly maintenance plans, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
* Resource Management: Oversee site assets and facilities using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage both planned and reactive maintenance.
* Problem Solving: Apply root cause analysis to address issues and prevent recurrence, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
* Safety Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all work aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the site to foster communication and support operational goals.
* Efficiency Improvements: Review handover reports, analyse data, and drive improvements in utility and asset performance.
* Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Schedule PPM tasks outside of production hours or in agreement with operational departments.
* Asset Tracking: Ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of all assets, utilising both internal and external resources as needed.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven engineering background, with experience in manufacturing or production environments.
* Expertise in CMMS and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct risk assessments for maintenance activities.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* A solid understanding of safety management and compliance standards.
Desirable Skills:
* Engineering Planning expertise.
* Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
