Location: GBP25,000 to GBP30,000 commensurate with experience
We are working with a well-established, multi-service, Lexcel accredited group of law firms who are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support their law firm, based in Arnold, near Nottingham.
Experience of working for an SRA-regulated law firm is preferred but not essential. Applications will be considered from candidates who have worked in a similar professional services environment.
The role will involve:
* Carrying out all aspects of accounts administration, including supplier invoice processing and payments processing
* Processing incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring compliance with Anti Money Laundering Regulations
* Checking and processing invoices
* Sales and purchase ledger and general bookkeeping duties
* Reconciliation of client accounts and petty cash
* Preparation of daily banking
* Assisting with the Land Registry and search disbursement reconciliation
* Checking and processing of staff expense claims
* Assisting with resolving residual client balances
Suitable Candidates will have
* Experience of working as a Legal Accounts Clerk or Legal Cashier (preferred)
* Knowledge/experience of working in accordance with SRA accounts regulations (preferred)
* Experience of dealing with sales and purchase ledger and general accounts (essential)
* Good general IT skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* The ability to work well as part of a team, and a willingness to assist colleagues at busy times
