We are delighted to be recruiting for a number of skilled fitters within our clients busy setting in Derry/L'Derry to maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties. Key Duties: Inspect, service, maintain and prepare fleet to PCV standards Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems as appropriate Remove and replace vehicle components Respond to vehicle breakdowns Complete administrative duties associated with the post Other appropriate duties What we need from you?: Minimum of 2 year's post apprenticeship experience in a similar role within an automotive environment or Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline Diagnostic ability where applicable Ability to produce sound & safe work. Awareness of and compliance with Health & Safety at work Working knowledge of vehicle systems e.g. diesel engine and fuel systems etc. Full current driving licence Flexible attitude to work and working hours with ability to work additional hours when required or at short notice Available for call out Already possess or willing to obtain a PCV licence A standard medical will be required for successful candidates along with evidence of original qualifications for the role.
