About the role:
The primary purpose of this position is to motivate Aviva and external supplier employees to achieve sustainable improvements in safety, quality, and cost performance in motor accident repairs and total loss settlements.
You will use your technical motor expertise to identify opportunities across Motor Repairers, Engineers, and Total Loss teams. The role involves assessing individual development needs and applying coaching, training, and best practice sharing to embed improvements in future claims, aligning performance with Aviva standards.
You will also provide assurance and insights to senior management to facilitate broader organizational change. The role requires technical knowledge across standard, prestige, and commercial vehicles, and involves preventing unsatisfactory repairs and re-negotiating costs to ensure fairness.
You will be part of a team of six experts, sharing responsibility for technical oversight of approximately 200,000 claims with a spend exceeding £0.5bn.
Skills and experience:
* Extensive experience and current knowledge in motor repair and insurance, with ATA accreditation essential.
* Strong relationship management, diplomacy, and a balanced mindset.
* Commercial awareness and excellent organizational skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
