Compensation: £27,944 per annum, i.e £16,766 pro rata per annum
Description: To provide an efficient print and marketing support service. The hours for this role can be worked flexibly throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate printer/photocopier and basic finishing equipment such as comb binders, guillotine, electric stapler, laminator, folding machine etc.
2. Produce work according to specification and on schedule including print requests and the packaging and delivery of completed jobs.
3. Maintain stock levels of consumables such as toner, staples and printing paper.
4. Raise purchase orders and co-ordinate internal recharges.
5. Liaise with external print suppliers to source best prices for complex print jobs that need to be outsourced.
6. Liaise with suppliers to ensure best price on consumables and marketing supplies.
7. Raise purchase orders using internal system.
8. Provide printing quotes for both internal client-base and external clients.
9. Ensure equipment is kept clean and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
10. Ensure all print requests are serviced efficiently in the most cost-effective way.
11. Operate equipment safely and in accordance with the operating manuals, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
12. Ensure compliance with Copyright rules.
13. Service enquiries from curriculum staff both face to face and on the telephone.
14. Work accurately, often under pressure, to tight deadlines.
15. Record and report photocopier fleet breakdowns, escalating issues to the manufacturer as appropriate.
16. Ensure continuous development and improvement of professional knowledge.
17. Any other admin support duties, of a similar level of responsibility, as may be required.
18. Supporting the Marketing team where appropriate and supporting at college events as required.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria
A good general education with GCSEs including English and Maths.
Experience
Essential Criteria
Experience in a busy admin environment or in a printing/photocopying role working with digital printers and basic finishing equipment.
Specialist Knowledge
Essential Criteria
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and basic admin processes. Knowledge of paper stocks and basic finishing techniques would also be helpful; however, training will be provided.
IT Skills
Essential Criteria
Basic Microsoft Office skills, used to working with spreadsheets and email.
