Job summary The successful candidate will work within a service offering support and care to individuals living with a palliative condition and bereaved families within the framework of the Psychology and Bereavement Service. They will function as a member of the team alongside associated professionals such as counsellors, creative therapists, administrative staff and a volunteer bereavement support team. The postholder will work across the lifespan and offer psychological support to bereaved children, patients and families, acting as a specialist resource and working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. 30 hours per week to be worked in accordance with the needs of the service Main duties of the job To provide specialist advice, consultancy and training to other professions (non-psychologist colleagues within and outside the team), on the psychological assessments, formulation and treatment, and management of the full range of psychological problems which may be experienced by the patient group.
