Information Governance Compliance Officer

The Trust is looking for an Information Governance Compliance Officer to work within Digital Healthcare.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a small but very productive and friendly team providing a vital service within the Trust and to help the Trust meet its statutory obligations.
The vision of the Information Governance department is to "put Information at the HEART of everything we do". The post holder will assist the department in the provision of the broad range of services provided, working under the supervision of the IG Compliance Manager.
This post has the benefit of an optional 19 month apprentice development programme to expand and broaden their skills and abilities. The apprentice will be required to achieve an apprentice standard (Key Skills, Certificate/Diploma and Technical Certificate) within the specified time frame. Attend all of the training sessions for the programme whenever necessary and undertake any necessary homework during the length of the course. Study time will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing IG support services to the Head of Information Governance / Data Protection Officer relating to all aspects of Information Governance, ensuring the Trust's compliance with data protection legislation and to improve data protection awareness amongst staff.
The post holder will provide day-to-day administrative support for the IG team to ensure the team runs efficiently and effectively. This includes, monitoring shared team mailboxes, collating and requesting information for assessments, investigations and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).
The post holder will be responsible for producing reports for presentation at the relevant Trust's assurance and monitoring groups, including the minute taking and preparing of the Information Governance Performance Group and will also support the IG Team in relation to general IG queries.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ level 4 / diploma level qualification or equivalent.
* Recognised information governance qualification or experience.
Knowledge & Experience
* Awareness of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UKGDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018
* Awareness of confidentiality and privacy issues.
* Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis.
* Understanding / awareness of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
* To be able to demonstrate theoretical and / or practical knowledge in the following areas: information asset management, information security and IT system security, proven competency in Microsoft applications.
* Working collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries.
* Experience of working in Information Governance.
* Familiar with Records Management standards.
* Knowledge and understanding of Caldicott principles, common law duty of confidentiality.
* Knowledge of the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations.
* Experience of developing and delivering training programmes.
* Experience of using a configuration management application
* Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence.
* Ability to achieve key performance indicators and set objectives.
* Able to make judgements on how to deal with enquiries from service users and third parties.
