Communications & Information Support - Airfield Support Team (AST) RAF Brize Norton Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX Permanent Full time, Monday - Friday £32,602 per annum plus benefits At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet. Serco at RAF Brize Norton are looking to recruit a colleague for their Airfield Support Team Key Accountabilities: Control of Managed Radio Equipment (MRE) masts and antennas, including liaison with the RAF Support team. Airfield frequency management; maintain and update frequency allocations. Air Traffic Technical Equipment Safeguarding. Participation in siting board meetings and liaison with Armament Safety personnel with reference to the siting of explosive storage areas. Support the provision of deployable public address systems. Building Custodian (management) of radio equipment buildings & facilities. What you'll need to do the role: Pro-active interaction with customers. Proficient written and verbal communication using office 365. Must have the ability to work within an organisation that implements a strong safety culture and is able to assess, communicate and escalate issues and incidents appropriately.
