The salary for this permanent Nursing job is £30,728 - £36,419 per annum.

Main Duties:
* Manage a personal caseload of patients diagnosed with Learning Disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including conducting comprehensive initial assessments, developing and implementing appropriate care plans, and ensuring timely follow-up procedures.
* Participate actively in processes and protocols aimed at supporting patients at risk of self-harm or suicide, following establishment policy and adhering to NICE Guidance.
* Engage in regular supervision sessions with your line manager on a monthly basis, and participate in annual Employee Development Reviews (EDRs) to evaluate targets, track progression, and establish learning objectives.
* Utilise strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with patience and resilience, to provide effective support to patients.
* Deliver training and advice to staff on best practices for caring for patients with Learning Disabilities, increasing awareness and understanding within the team.
* Contribute to awareness initiatives by assisting with the planning and delivery of awareness days and workshops organised by the Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT), and collaborate with colleagues to further develop these initiatives.
* Attend and contribute to weekly Integrated Mental Health Team Referrals meetings, ensuring a coordinated and integrated approach when discussing patients at risk.
Requirements of the Learning Disability / Children's / School / Mental Health Nurse:
* Registered Nurse
* Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
* Minimum of 5 years of residency in the UK
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and enhancement of clinical practice
* Previous experience working within a secure environment
* Possession of a degree-level qualification or higher
* Involvement in innovation or implementing change within a healthcare setting
* Qualification as a Nurse Prescriber
* Experience in delivering services that provide value for money
* Valid driving licence
