NRL’s engineering client is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager for a first of its kind, cross-country pipelines project which will run for 2 to 3 years.
About the role:
* This is a project role. The project is for the construction of a large diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline in the northwest of England.
* Reporting to the Project Technical Director, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning, execution, and control of the detail design and procurement.
* The role will require the appointee to provide leadership to all personnel on the project and, working closely with the wider project management team, manage the delivery of the design and procurement scope of work which shall involve coordination between key subcontractors and the client.
What you will need?
* Exceptional technical knowledge of the engineering requirements relative to cross-country pipelines and, specifically, code requirements where relative to carbon dioxide transportation.
* Proven ownership & accountability, judgment, and decision-making.
* Multiple years of project management experience for cross-country pipelines or a similar discipline.
* Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or similar with a good understanding of all disciplines and their part in the overall project execution.
* Skilled in identifying, handling, and mitigating technical risk in construction projects.
* Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium periods and to travel nationally.
Qualifications:
* Vast industry experience.
* Chartered Engineer or equivalent industry experience.
* Management experience of engineering disciplines.
* Experience of a similar role.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Valid driving license.
