Who are we?
Swim Safety is the UK’s leading event water safety management company, providing and managing water safety teams across a range of mass participation & corporate sporting events.
Over the course of the summer season we will typically operate at almost 100 events in the UK as well as a handful of events abroad.
But it’s not just events, our Safety Boats UK division provides water safety services for PR shoots/stunts, construction sites and on TV & film sets.
What will you be doing?
* Assisting with the operational delivery of events; both in the office and onsite
* An active part of the water safety teams when onsite at events enabling you to gain experience across all teams
* Working on commercial projects across the country with our trading division Safety Boats UK
* Part of the team responsible for looking after kit and allocating it out to events/projects
* Be integral to our boat & vehicle logistics, delivering boats and helping to initiate projects
* We have a large fleet of boats and engines, all of which need regular maintenance & servicing which we carry out in- house
* Providing admin support by assisting in the creation of operational documentation & risk assessments
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone that has a can-do attitude, that’s willing to learn and work hard. This is a junior role within our team, with the opportunity to progress and grow over time.
For us, the right person is the key criteria, not just qualifications & experience – some previous powerboat operating experience is essential, but other than that, the right attitude and wiliness to learn is what’s most important to us. We can teach you anything else you might need…
We are looking for someone that is motivated, able to present themselves professionally on-site, operate in a safe manner and comes with a can-do attitude.
As well as this, the following are required:
* Competent and qualified boat driver with experience of being on the water.
* Flexible and adaptable - happy to respond to client needs, which may include unsociable hours and some weekends.
* Motivated, organised and able to work under their own initiative.
* Able to work under pressure and have a ‘can-do’ approach to solving problems.
* An excellent team player – being keen to get stuck into everything is key.
* A good communicator – you will be in contact with our wider staff team and clients (new and old).
* A full UK driving license (experience driving vans/towing trailers in beneficial but not essential).
