Person specification
This role will be essential in supporting the corporate finance services including planning, in-year management and project accounting.�
You will contribute to the effective and efficient running of governance, investment appraisals and financial reporting�supporting Defence Digital delivery.� This will include use of corporate financial systems and tools primarily provided through IBM and Oracle.�
Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of long-term strategic financial plans and budget management including advice on key choices
2. Delivery of In-year expenditure within budgets and monthly forecasting including co-ordinating monthly submissions and analysis and management information packs in line with the review timetable.
3. Ensuring accounts are robust, associated Project Account, asset delivery and inventory information is accurately maintained and reconciled, and reporting is delivered.
4. Undertake reviews of Business Cases and financial accounting returns and processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Ensure delivery of a robust compliance and governance framework including discharge of effective financial requirements, Value for Money (VFM) and affordability scrutiny, assurance, and financial concurrence within delegated authority.
6. Effectively manage resources within area of responsibility to deliver VFM.
7. Provision of Cost Models to support evaluation of industry bids and to provide robust evidence in support of financial approvals.
This is a highly visible role, and the successful candidate will be required to undertake key activities associated with supporting the wider finance team.�

Hybrid Working
