Commercial Manager/ Civils
CSR are currently working with a large Building & Civil Engineering contractor to recruit for a Commercial Manager to work on bespoke projects with values in excess of £100M.
Responsibilities
1. Take lead on all commercial aspects of the project.
2. Provide support, advice, and be heavily involved in decision making throughout the project.
3. Prepare, negotiate, and analyse costs for all budgets.
4. Be involved in procurement of Sub-contractors and prepare all Sub-contractors related documents.
5. Prepare all valuations and final accounts.
6. Attend meetings when required.
7. Plan, allocate, and evaluate all work being carried out by delegated individuals.
8. Produce and present all monthly costs, values, and budgets on the project.
9. Advise on a range of legal and contractual issues and identify and manage any commercial risks.
10. Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
The Person
To be considered for this role you must be degree qualified (QS/ Commercial Management) with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience. This role is ideal for someone who has worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor and wishes to further a career in a more senior role.
Construction experience, main contracting experience is desirable but not essential. Experience of working on large projects from start to completion is required. Experience on projects with values of £50M+ is at a distinct advantage.
You must have excellent numerical, IT, and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
